SHARED IN APRIL 2018.
Esther is today doing amazing work of helping other children complete their education as she is able. She attributes her kindness to the kindness and help given to her by City’s Heart Cry Ministries at a time of need in her own life. Esther was one of the girls we supported into completing her high school education. (In Kenya, High school is paid for to today including government high school. This is why many children especially girls are unable to attend high school once they graduate primary education). Esther was referred to us due to her great talent when her school was coming to an end in her first year of high school due to lack of funds to educate her. we are truly gland that our organization came through for her because she is very talented and selfless. It is amazing to see what God is doing in her life and through her today. Please listen to her testimony as she shares it with others. https://youtu.be/OHeW9dLwIBo
WHY HELP GIRLS IN THESE SITUATIONS!
Unfortunately, unlike Esther who received help and completed high school which changed her life forever, many girls who don’t receive intervention end up being victims. Some of their stories we are also faced with for example, the 15 year old mother who ended up dead at 15 years old leaving her baby behind:

“What a joy that this child is now safe and and receiving love. He was rescued this week Monday from a dire situation. His mother was a 15 year old girl who died a horrible death. This 15 year old girl raised by a single mother who is abusive and under bondage of alcoholism was kicked out of home by her mother at the age of 12 or so. Ended up pregnant twice in a short time. The first child was rescued and put in an orphanage but he was left his his grandmother after his mother died at the age of 15 years. She was found dead bleeding from everywhere. After he was left with the grandmother, neighbors started to notice he was never seen and this grandmother lives a lonely life due to her lifestyle. She herself needs help because she is under bondage. As people talked and investigation was done, it was discovered that this young child was being left locked up in the house for days at a time, unattended while his grandmother was out drinking. Our team in Kenya received a call and a plan was put in place for rescue. The government official and our team arrived at the home Monday early in the morning and when the grandmother arrived, they were there so she couldn’t run away or hide the child. The sub-chief (Government official designated to do the taking away of the child) entered the house and took the child handing to our team. When they left, many people were moved to see this child who at three staggered when he walked and could not hold a piece of fruit steady in his hand. When he cried, no sound came out and did not speak a word. Some shop keepers even gave free clothing for him because they were so moved to see him. When they arrived Loving Home, as they removed his dirty clothing to wash him up, they found he had eight garments for tops, all tied to the waist, some pairs of pants and two pairs of socks all tied to him on wrist and ankle. This grandmother was trying how she knew to take care of this child. She put all this clothes on him and tied them to keep him from getting cold while she was gone for prolonged periods. So sad. I have shared some photos of rescue here and thank you to all who are supporting this mission. We couldn’t do this without you involved in any way you are able.
To today, they have only heard two words from him. He is very scared and is eating very little because he was not used to feeding enough. But he is now in a safe place and we believe he will turn out wonderful.
It is a process to go through rescue but we have calls coming in with very sad stories. Many babies and children have stories like this one and one child we were called about recently died before rescue. Donations can be made on our secure site to help us reach out to some of these children. While we can’t cure the world problems, we can together impact one life at a time and over time generations will be touched. God bless
