“LOVING HOME” IS A MINISTRY OF CITY’S HEART CRY MINISTRIES (USA) AND HEART CRY ORGANIZATION (KENYA)
LOVING HOME
Loving home is the confession for the environment of this ministry (home for children who were once abandoned or in a crisis situation but are now receiving love and care). The children growing in this home will feel that they belong and that this is indeed their home and not just a place they live in. Children in this home will grow up being inspired to be all what God created them to be. They will learn to depend on God. Their gifts and talents will be inspired so that as adults they can be independent and productive members of the community serving God and others in their communities.
The second thing we are involved in is enabling girls who would otherwise not complete high school do so as well as support them spiritually and emotionally. Kenya government does not pay for students to go through high school education. Many girls go without education and are disadvantaged because other than poverty, in case of any property, it is given to sons. So many girls are left in very difficult situations to survive when not educated. While we take both girls and boys babies in into Loving Home, our focus for high school education is on girls.
The name for this home was chosen by Nate Munene (our junior board member) who as a child endured great challenges and fought through them. He believes every child can overcome life challenges if they are put in the right environment.
LOVING HOME is a home that will affect children positively in and out.
Loving Home officially started operating May 1st 2018.
PROVIDING A SAFE HOME FOR CHILDREN
Here are some moments:
June and July are the coldest months in Kenya. In Nkubu-Meru, temperatures are as cold as 40 and 50 degrees Celsius. The children are dressed warm to protect them from the cold weather. This pictures show children at home, church-Sunday school and visitors providing TLC to the children. Photos which are not full are done so to protect the identity for the sake of the girls. Check out our blogs https://citysheartcryministries.org/blogtestimonials/ for stories and situations behind the happy children you see on this page. Please keep this ministry in prayer. God bless you.
