TURNING WOUNDS INTO PURPOSE

When darkness sweeps over your life
Open wide the eyes of your heart
When pain strikes like the stings of wasps
Throw yourself in the arms of your maker
His word is true and His promises amen
He’s great at turning wounds into purpose
While weeping may last for a night,
His joy comes in the morning.

Finding you in a pit is not the end to you
No pit is too deep for His grace to reach
The heat of life may scorch like flames
No fire is to hot for Him to quench
His word is true and His promises amen
He’s great at turning wounds into purpose
While weeping may last for a night,
His joy comes in the morning.

Who said life would be easy!
His promise is to be you wherever…
Falling down is what happens to us
Staying down is what we do to us
His word is true and His promises amen
He’s great at turning wounds into purpose
While weeping may last for a night,
His joy comes in the morning.

The voice of darkness calls to despair
The voice of Light calls to hope
Beyond the suffering your victory awaits
Only, just only don’t give up hope
His word is true and His promises amen
He’s great at turning wounds into purpose
While weeping may last for a night,
His joy comes in the morning.

Psalms 42:1

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.

-Matthew 5:6-8

New King James Version (NKJV)

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,     For they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful,     For they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart,     For they shall see God.

-1 Thessalonian’s 5:18

New International Version
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. “The practice of gratitude takes away self pity and fills your heart with joy and peace. An attitude of gratitude is not based on one’s circumstances. It is a choice and a state of mind.”
